My Teaching Supplies Must-Haves

I don’t think this post needs much of an introduction. Honestly, we all have our must-haves when it comes to the classroom, and I plan on sharing a lot of hacks and products that are tried and true for me. I have ALWAYS been a school supply lover. It may or may not have been a large draw of becoming a teacher: back-to-school shopping every year…..for life?! Yes, please. Of course, I do have my favorites, and I’m sharing some of mine today!

Flair Pens

I’ve always loved stationary, but I.Love.These.Pens.So.Much. Seriously, I use them for everything - from color coding my lesson plans (Yes, I am a paper and pen planner kind of gal) to making grading more fun, I go through so many of these, hehe! I get excited when they launch new colors. I’m seriously a huge fan. They write so well, and still come in serious enough colors when I need to be a little more professional. It’s the little things - these bring me such joy. Ha! (Grab your own on Amazon today!)

Stapler

I don’t use this as much as I used to before I found out that the copy machine does indeed have a staple funchion (Yeah, I know, slow learner), but I love this stapler (Grab one from Amazon). It’s cute AND functional which is right up my alley.

Washi Tape/Decorative Masking Tape

Again, I love pretty and functional things. Washi tape is perfect for hanging student work in a pinch, without having to worry about the wall or sticking a hole through it. Plus, It’s quick and simple to use to create sections on the whiteboard. Perfecto.

EXPO Markers

I actually even put these on my school supply list because I have little whiteboards for everyone to practice work on - or they just use their desks. I know it’s all plastic garbage that doesn’t really balance out the paper consumption, but that’s okay. The kiddos love the novelty of writing on something other than paper anyway. These are my favorite brand - tried and true! And trust me, I’ve tried allllllll the brands trying to save a buck of two - what’s a teacher to do? They also come in awesome colors to make using them even more fun! (Check out this pack from Amazon)

Electric Pencil Sharpener

Yup. A good electric pencil sharpener in the classroom can make or break it. Just be sure to have clear expectations and rules surrounding it, or things can get out of hand pretty quickly. Definitely a necessity though. This one from Amazon is my absolute favorite.

Tool Box

I love my teacher toolbox (pictured below). I keep all of my supplies labeled and organized and if for some reason I need to refer students to it, they know exactly which drawer they are allowed to go into. (This is the one I have from Amazon, in grey)

Mr.Sketch

I am an anchor chart lover through and through. Mr.Sketch makes writing on them fun - and the kiddos love using them too! They are just hands down the most fun markers for anchor charts and full group activities. (Grab a package from Amazon today!)

Magnetic Rod

Speaking of anchor charts, I love using a magnetic rod to display my chart paper. It keeps it out of corners that damage it, and keeps it accessible and in the forefront of my mind. I put the link to my Amazon store below so you can find the one I use!

What are some of your must-haves in the classroom? I’d love to know because I’m always adding to my favorites list! By the way, check out my Amazon store here and get direct links to everything!
